SMS Program Terms

Program Name: MemberMe Notifications
1. Program Description
MemberMe Notifications is a two-factor authentication (2FA) and account security SMS program operated by MemberMe. Messages are sent only in response to user-initiated actions requiring identity or phone number verification. Message types include:
- Phone number verification codes — one-time codes sent when a user adds or verifies a phone number on their account.
- Login verification codes — one-time codes used for two-factor authentication at sign-in.
- Password reset codes — one-time codes sent in response to a user-initiated password recovery request.
- Account security alerts — confirmation messages sent after verification is completed.
No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program. All messages are strictly user-initiated, transactional, and security-related in nature.
2. How to Opt In
SMS enrollment is entirely optional and requires affirmative, informed consent. To opt in:
- Log in to your MemberMe account.
- Navigate to account settings or the phone number verification prompt within the application.
- Enter your mobile phone number.
- Tap Verify — by doing so you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code from MemberMe.
Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of creating an account or purchasing any product or service.

3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Messages are only sent in direct response to actions you initiate — such as verifying a phone number, signing in with 2FA, or requesting a password reset. There is no recurring message schedule.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan's messaging and data charges.
5. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You may cancel SMS notifications at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any MemberMe SMS message. You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent.
- Update your notification preferences in your MemberMe account settings.
- Contact support at hello@memberme.app.
To resubscribe: Reply START to a previous MemberMe message, or visit your account settings and re-enable SMS notifications. You will receive a confirmation message upon resubscription.

7. Supported Carriers
The MemberMe Notifications program is available to subscribers of major US mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, US Cellular, and other participating carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
This program is currently available to recipients in the United States only, unless otherwise specified in writing by MemberMe.
8. Privacy
Your phone number and SMS opt-in data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your information is not sold to third parties and is shared only with our SMS delivery service provider as required to send messages.
9. No Marketing
MemberMe does not use this SMS program to send advertising, promotional offers, or marketing materials of any kind. If you receive a message from MemberMe that you believe is promotional, please report it to hello@memberme.app.
10. Changes to This Program
We may modify these SMS Program Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the SMS notification feature after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
