MemberMe ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Jeremy Leff. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MemberMe platform and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Name — used to identify your account and personalize communications.
- Email address — used for authentication, account notifications, and support.
- Phone number — collected only when you opt in to SMS notifications; used solely for transactional and account-related SMS messages.
- Account and membership data — information you enter about your organization, members, or events while using the Service.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and telemetry data — basic information about how you interact with the Service (e.g., pages visited, features used, error events). This data is aggregated and used to improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — we use a minimal number of essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
- Log data — standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, and timestamps, retained for security and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. SMS Communications
Your phone number is used only for transactional and account-related SMS notifications — such as verification codes, event reminders, membership updates, and important account alerts. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
- Opt-in: You provide your phone number and check an explicit, unchecked consent checkbox within the application. Consent is never a condition of purchase or account creation.
- Message frequency: Varies based on your account activity. You will only receive messages triggered by actions relevant to your account.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to cancel further SMS messages. You will receive a single confirmation message after opting out. You may resubscribe at any time via your account settings or by replying START.
- Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at hello@memberme.app.
- Supported carriers: All major US carriers. Carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party vendors to help operate the Service, including SMS delivery providers, cloud hosting infrastructure, and payment processors. These providers access data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., a court order or subpoena).
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Protection of rights: We may disclose information where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MemberMe, our users, or others.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with third-party service providers to deliver and operate the Service, which may include:
- An SMS delivery provider to send transactional text messages.
- A cloud hosting provider to store and serve application data.
- A payment processor to handle billing.
- Basic analytics tools to aggregate de-identified usage data.
Each provider is selected with attention to data security and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our internal retention schedule.
Phone numbers collected for SMS are retained only while you remain opted in to SMS notifications. Upon opt-out (STOP), your number is flagged and suppressed from future SMS sends.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction: You may review and update your account information within the application settings at any time.
- SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS message or update your notification settings in the app.
- Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing hello@memberme.app.
- Cookies: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Disabling essential cookies may affect application functionality.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or a notice within the application.
